Sheet-Pan Sesame Tofu and Red Onions

Introduction Sheet pans are a versatile and beloved addition to my kitchen, not only for their aesthetic appeal on the counter, but also for the convenience they offer in cooking. One of their best features is the accompanying lid that perfectly fits the pan, ensuring your tofu stays moist and succulent throughout the cooking process. For this particular recipe, I've chosen to create an effortless weeknight meal consisting of pan-fried tofu and red onions, all cooked in a rich and fragrant sesame seed oil. This delightful dish utilizes simple ingredients to achieve a harmonious balance of contrasting flavors and textures: savory and sweet, crisp and tender. The tofu's natural nuttiness is elevated by a coating of turmeric and sesame seeds, while the onions, often overshadowed in vegetable dishes, are transformed into soft, caramelized morsels with a delightful crunch. A lively combination of fresh herbs and citrus juice adds a refreshing element to this dish, which pairs wel...

Salmon, Rice and Asparagus

Introduction This is a super simple recipe to follow. It’s a great way to introduce your kids to new foods and flavors, and it’s also a great recipe for beginners. You can make this dish in less than 30 minutes and spend much less time in the kitchen than you would with other recipes. The ingredients are easy to find at any grocery store or farmer’s market. The salmon is a great source of lean protein, which means it won’t leave you feeling bloated or sluggish. It also contains Omega-3 fatty acids that are important for brain function and heart health. The rice provides carbohydrates, which can help keep your energy levels high throughout the day. Asparagus has many vitamins and minerals including vitamin K, folate, zinc and fiber. This dish is a great option for anyone who wants to eat healthy, but doesn’t have much time in the kitchen. It’s also great for meal prep because it can keep in the fridge for up to two days and reheat easily. You can change up this recipe by adding differen...
